GASPESIE — Out of the ordinary, vibrant, welcoming, tasteful: Gaspésie promises you exciting holidays! Sea and mountain destinations offer incomparable playgrounds for both hiking and water activity enthusiasts.

Through the history linked to fisheries, the peoples who once lived in this territory, and its maritime heritage, the culture and the personality of Gaspesians has been shaped. Recognized by National Geographic Traveler as one of Canada’s 50 Places of a Lifetime, Gaspésie gives you the opportunity to discover four national parks; famous Percé Rock; the world’s most accessible northern gannet colony; a UNESCO World Heritage Site; moose; summits over 1000 metres (3300 feet); lighthouses; Chaleur Bay, one of the most beautiful bays in the world; remarkable historic sites and more.

Be sure to take part in the local food culture as well; savour regional dishes blending fresh fish, seafood and local products. A day in the Chic-Chocs, at the beach, in Forillon, fishing, in Percé; all amazing ways to enjoy Gaspésie, the place to spend your holidays!

Did you know...

Beginning in the 19th century, Percé—including legendary Percé Rock—along with Carleton and Métis were the first resort areas to welcome middle-class vacationers who enjoyed salmon fishing and the seaside.
